About CAF Level of CA Pakistan: 

CAF is the second level of one of the Pakistan's most highly paid and the toughest qualifications, Chartered Accountancy (CA). It stands for Certified in Accounting and Finance. Only those students can get enrolled in CAF who have successfully passed PRC (Pre-Requisite Competencies). Certified in Accounting and Finance is really a crucial phase in the journey of Chartered Accountancy. This is the phase that enables the students to be eligible of getting into the training/article phase of their CA life. Furthermore, students are also required to have at least CAF certificate in absence of alternate degrees if they want to apply for a job in any organization. These factors boost the significance of this second level of Chartered Accountancy.

Subjects and Groups in CAF level:

CAF level comprises two groups. Each of the two groups consists of four papers. 

The following subjects are included in Group A:

1.  CAF-1 Financial Accounting and Reporting-I
2. CAF-2 Tax Practices
3. CAF-3 Cost and Management Accounting
4. CAF-4 Business Law

Group B consists of the following subjects;

1. CAF-5 Financial Accounting and Reporting – II
2. CAF-6 Managerial and Financial Analysis
3. CAF-7 Company Law
4. CAF-8 Audit and Assurance

Students are required to opt for at least three subjects of CAF to appear in the examination (unless the lower number of papers are remaining). Furthermore, no student is allowed to appear in Group B without passing Group A (unless the lower number of basic threshold papers are remaining in Group A. Only in that case a student can go for Group B along with Group A).
